Sun gods smile.

I havnt had this feeling in a long time. The one you get when the sun is perfect…it feels like the light and surfaces are charged and glowing just for you. Where you have to TRY to get a shot that isnt beautiful. The witching hour.  “HAWK!”

Urbtastic

Wouldnt that suck if there was an Earthquake right now?

What cool cats and what great place for an engagement shoot. Iv always been a fan of the tricky light and angles of the Seattle library…who isnt? (birds with broken necks. thats who). Theres just too much there to shoot. Bret and Tera were awesome and a pleasure to roam the silent halls of education with. I was [...]

SAPn does it like no other…

God these guys are rocked it! There hasnt been a wilder ride since Christopher Reeve’s steed. (sorry). I wanted to dance and laugh and dance and dance…but I was shooting pictures instead because…I do that sometimes. Something I dont normally do is cover concerts…but an exception it is because I have persuasive friends and I dig any crazy stage performance ala serialkiller [...]

A bun.

My first maternity shoot. I dont know what else to say…at least it was short? Fortunately Leigha and her boy were pretty relaxed about it and it was a nice place for portraits. What would make this more exciting hmmm…then I found 20 dollars!yay!

Some love and some shotty’s…engagement “shoot”

As they say in Boston, this shit was ”wicked cool”. Goosebay: abandoned but still bustling with activity and muzzleblasts. Jess & Andy were so rad and completely open to being sprayed with copious amounts of milk. Good people. I suppose nothing is faux pas for Kaptive…plus if your in Alaska I think you have to shoot [...]

Rollin’ Old School

…Good times and great oldies… It would have been hard to have more fun with such good people. Matter of fact I didnt really feel like a photographer so much as another guest. And the luck! 1 week of rain and on the day it mattered: sun at its best. Note to self: Inebriated bridesmaids make for hilarious photos. Many [...]

Cpt. Cook and some stowaways.

Hawaiin natives offed Mr. Cook on his last voyage. Why you ask? Because he looks mean, thats why.Its nice when your client works at the venue and you can shamelessly run amok a maze of old teak and paintings for fabulous imagery. The Cpt. Cook hotel is one of the few joints downtown that doesnt feel cookie-cutter. [...]

A weekend in the sand is a good weekend indeed. Clam Gulch & Homer

Nuclear ghosts and dead dogs. Goosebay NIKE site. AK

Im not completely positive but Id wager my pinky that Alaska has more abandoned, old, creepy shit then most anywhere sans Detroit. Luckily one of my favorite pastimes is crawling around in said places. People just seem to come and go quite a bit here…currently and historically. Talking with my friend/AK resident/ and model for the day, I realized [...]
