This little session was the closest thing to using artificial light Iv ever come. Iv always had an almost prideful aversion to strobes and umbrellas until recently.  My friend walked circles with a desk lamp to achieve what we were going after. I believe its time to invest in some lighting because I was really happy with the results although it was so much harder then necessary.

After months of wonderfully pungent air, exotic foods, and alien sites its an odd feeling to be so content in the stillness of my idle hometown. Of course, the cars still honk, people go on commuting this way and that but it all seems to strikingly calm compared the perpetual chaos of China. Downtown Seattle looks like a humble suburb of Beijing. This contrast is nice. What was once dry and familiar now appears strange and alluring again.
